Nothing fancy here, but at these prices, you really can't complain mush. Pricing earns them a star up from 3 (which they'd earn otherwise on taste, etc). Owner John is friendly and welcoming, and the place has charm. Also open relatively late if you need a last minute bite before Marin shuts down.

I got a few pies on a last minute order, and they were speedy and efficient and delicious. Easy parking too! They are also super if you want just a slice. Outdoor seating and friendly staff. My son rated this the best pizza in the country for what it's worth :)

Had a few slices and were pleasantly surprised. Also had a yummy slice of cheesecake. Great little hidden spot on the way to the coast

The new owners have changed it and made it so much better. It's a must visit just don't get a slice reheated because they use aluminum foil and it steams it but take it home and put it in your toaster. Oven or oven sandwiches are amazing I'm sure the pasta dishes are too.

Called in my order today. Ordering was quick and efficient. This was my first time here. I got the artichoke lasagna and spaghetti and meatballs. I tried to dissect the lasagna to see how it was made cause it was freakin' amazing! My dissection failed. The artichoke was in thin layers. I don't know if I was eating the artichoke leafs or the noodles some of the time. The lasagna sauce differed from the spaghetti sauce. Both were excellent! The lasagna was a piece of art. It must be very time consuming to make. The spaghetti noodles were flavorful. Tasted homemade. I am not sure if they are or not. Meatballs were substantial. In regards to the price, if you want Stouffer's prices go down the road to Safeway. But don't expect Mauro's quality! I have a family member that works in the wholesale bakery space and he said prices for raw materials have increased, in some cases three fold in the last 2 years. I met the owner, John, and he was engaging and friendly.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. The pizza is top tier, and could not recommend this place enough. The pasta is really tasty as well. The owner is a very kind individual who takes great strides to help whenever he can. I messed up an order and he went out of his way to fix it and make sure I left happy. 10/10

Surprisingly amazing!!!! Great pizza!! I'm mad I didn't get two slices! Will definitely make the drive up there again to get another slice but this time two!

I knew about Mauro's in the early 2000s when his wife Ross was a co-worker of mine at the Stupski Foundation in Mill Valley. We catered from Mauro quite often then for our office meetings...a big pot of soup and bread, his artichoke lasagna, and risotto. I miss Mauro's asparagus risotto so much. We were passing through Fairfax one evening about a 1/2 hour before they were closing. Would've loved to say hello to Mauro himself and say how much I missed his risotto. We grabbed 2 boxes of the artichoke lasagna from the cold case ($12 each) and off we went. STILL DELICIOUS and just how I remembered it back then.
